Early decision means you are making the decision early and so is the law school. Some application deadlines happen in the Fall or very early in the Spring.
You are committing to a law school that if you are admitted, you will attend and withdraw applications from the other schools as soon as you find out.
Check in with your school to see if they have early decision scholarship programs
If you don’t abide by the early decision commitment, the school has the right to revoke your admissions.
If you are not admitted through early decision, there are three paths:
1) Your application is moved to regular decision
2) You have to reapply through regular decision
3) You are not given a chance to reapply at all and plainly not admitted
